Overview
Schooligans is a series of four programs jam-packed with comprehensive phonics, spelling, reading, grammar, maths and thinking exercises in a structured learning environment that is fun to use and educationally sound. Each program challenges students to achieve their personal best while enjoying a very real and positive learning experience.

Students will learn:

Phonics:
Vowel and consonant sound revision, two-letter and long vowel sounds, vowel-consonant-final ‘e’ rule, long vowel rule, soft ‘c’ and ‘g’ words, comprehension.
Promotes independent reading skills, starting with reinforcing the blending of sounds to form words through to adding word endings, using sophisticated phonics skills to read unfamiliar words and reading of comprehension passages based around the sounds and words learned.

Spelling skills:
32 Age specific word lists, sorted phonetically, with 5 different spelling games.
Reinforces spelling and vocabulary skills using sound, text and visual cues, including sentences for context.

Reading fluency:
32 Graded passages with topics that will appeal to any reader.
Encourages improved reading ability by tracking the student’s reading speed, comprehension of what has been read, and selection of unfamiliar words.

Grammar rules and correct use:
Abbreviations, Adjectives, Apostrophes, Articles, Clauses, Commas, Comparisons, Conjunctions, Gender, Nouns, Opposites, Phrases, Plurals, Pronouns, Tense, Verbs and more.

Mathematics:
Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, using randomly generated questions and increasing levels of difficulty, supported by interactive tutorials at each level.

Thinking skills:
Brainteasers, logic problems, word problems, sequencing, and general knowledge.
